Homecoming.

Today is the one-year anniversary of Jacks homecoming. On this day, last year after 65 days in the neonatal intensive care unit, Jack came home with us.

My husband and I had everything we needed, but we were in no way prepared, but that didn’t matter. Jack was home. He was all ours. We didn’t even tell anyone he was home. We just wanted to cherish our first private moments together as a family.

Jack’s feeding intake went up dramatically the minute he crossed the threshold. I was still pumping. Mixing. On top of everything else. My husband and I hardly slept for weeks. We couldn’t have been happier. We never felt so blessed in all of our lives. We still feel that way today, maybe even more so.

Your Dad and I are crazy in love with you Baby Jack.
