Update

In my last update post, I mentioned that Jack was back to sleeping thru the night in his own bed. I lied. He’s been back in our bed since I said that. Literally.

Jack just had a baby well checkup and the doctor asked me about his sleep schedule, and what bedtime is like. I explained to the doctor that Jack naps in his crib perfectly during the day, but at night he will only sleep in his crib for an hour or so, before waking up and having a total meltdown. Jack has a terrible temper if he doesn’t get his way. Basically no matter what we do or try, the result is still the same. Jack ends up in our bed for part if not all of the night. After I explained all the details to the doctor, he essentially tells me “good luck with that”.

Everyone I talk to about our bedtime ritual with Jack has the same feedback. Like, he’s only a year old…what can you do?

Nothing, I can do nothing. I have no power at all. This little one-year-old boy has complete control over my life, and my heart.

Jack inherited Lisa Simpson, and her brother Bart, from his Daddy. #throwbacktoys #90s

  1. Why do babies stop doing things as soon as you think you can rely on them to do it?? I’ll say Jack is finally eating great and then he won’t eat anything but Cheerios for a week. 😡
