In My Next Life I Want To Be…
Myself, yet different, and existing in another place and time. I believe in past lives, and the idea that our bodies die but our consciousness does not. I believe in Deja Vu, and that feeling you get when you meet someone and feels like you’ve known them forever. I believe we keep coming back to this life if we choose to continue to advance or evolve our spirit or consciousness. I was not “raised” or “taught” to believe these things, and I do not claim a religion. I simply believe these things because I do, because I always have, for as far back as I can remember. I do not care how that makes me sound, or seem, or whether others agree with me or not.
It is said- and it is true- that just before we are born, a cavern angel holds his finger to our mouths and whispers, ” Hush. Don’t tell what you know.”
This is why we have a cleft on our upper lips and remember nothing of where we came from. – from Prince Ombra by Roderick MacLeish
