My name is Heather Mae Graham.
I am 29 years old, I am married to my high-school sweetheart and we have one child a boy named Jack.
I am a college student and a photographer.
This blog serves as a log of my personal life, my photography, and as a prematurity awareness platform on behalf of Jack.
Jack was born very premature, at just 28 weeks gestation. He weighed 2 lbs 14 oz., was 15 and 3/4 inches long, and spent 65 days in a level 3 neonatal intensive care unit. Today, he is a very happy and healthy three-year-old, weighing close to 40 lbs! He speaks in full sentences, is equal parts curious, smart, funny, and imaginative. All of his doctors agree that they would never know he was a preemie, and their only complaint is that he’s a little on the shy side (although I see no problem with shyness).
*The cause of Jack’s preterm birth was never really determined. I did have mild preeclampsia, which may or may not have been a contributing factor in his early birth. An infection in my placenta was also suspected.
