Spring semester kicks off next week, which means I’m on the last leg of my winter break. I have been enjoying a slower pace at home and at work, although I am in no way short on chores, projects, and to-do lists.
I did not get as much accomplished during my break as I would have liked. Like cleaning out the garage, for example, it’s been raining consistently on all my days off at home.
The good thing about all the rain we have been enduring, though, is that we are finally out of the drought. Yay!
P.S. Final grades for the fall semester were:
Philosophy/Critical Thinking and Writing= A
United States History= A
Intro to Psychology= B+
I just realized I never posted my grades on here. Grades are important to my now in a way they never were when I was first attempting college. I’m definitely a late bloomer.
A in intro to philosophy.
A- in english 1A
I’m registered for 3 classes for fall term. I’m taking philosophy 4, psychology, and US history. Hopefully I won’t die.
I have been sorely neglecting this blog. I just haven’t felt like devoting any time to it. I’m not sure why exactly. Maybe I have just gotten lazy about it now that Jack is a full blown toddler.
But if you are curious for an update here goes:
Jack is knee deep in the terrible twos. His temperament is tyrannical at best while still managing to be completely adorable.
Back in June, Jack made the transition from a crib to a toddler bed. We started with just the mattress on the floor, but quickly upgraded him to the toddler bed frame, and he loves it. He enjoys playing in his room with a little new found freedom. I keep a watchful eye on him and utilize a gate and a video baby monitor.
Jacks hobbies include playing in water, coloring, and the repetitive use of anything with wheels.
His vocabulary is expanding, and so is our ability to understand him. He especially enjoys back talking and being disagreeable.
He is approximately the size of a 3-4 year old and has to wear pull ups because diapers won’t fit.
Jacks two year molars are coming in and sometimes he acts like he might be hormonal.
He is smart and funny and cute as hell and we are exhausted but so head over heels in love with our Jack.
