Ok, if you’ve been following along with this blog you know I’ve been struggling to decide between traditional school and homeschool for Jack (who’s 3). This decision has been weighing heavily on my mind, but I have finally agreed with the support of my husband to homeschool Jack. As parents, we do have a choice […]

Ok, we’ve been “officially” potty train Jack for a full week now. He’s in undies all day long, except for nap time and bedtime. He’s yet to poop in the potty, only pee so far. He doesn’t like admitting when he has to pee and he’s had a few accidents. Typically he poops at nap time […]

If you follow my Instagram stories you know that Jack and I took a little vacation with my mama and sissy in law to the Sonora area here in California. We stayed in a quiet little cottage not too far from civilization, but far enough to enjoy a babbling brook, trees, wildflowers, wildlife, sweet summer […]

Jack won’t eat his dinner 90 percent of the time. It is a rare occasion that I can get him to eat anything cooked or otherwise prepared for him. It’s hard for me to admit that Jack is such a difficult eater at the dinner table. Because I tried to diversify his pallet from the […]

Tomorrow we are taking him to a children’s theme park and petting zoo for a proper birthday outing. Jack has been in such a sweet mood, […]

Jack is closer to being a two-year-old, then he is to a one-year-old. A fact which continues to boggle my mind daily.  Where did this big boy come from? He was 30 pounds at his last baby well checkup. It seems like another lifetime ago that I was counting his breaths as his tiny 3-pound […]

It’s wet outside. I realize that this is California, and I should not be complaining about the rain we are in such desperate need of, but we are cooped up in the house all day with a cranky toddler who’s got cabin fever, and this is only the middle of January. All that being said, […]

I have new found appreciation and respect for anyone who combines being a wife and mother with being an employee. I have further respect for anyone who adds college student to that mixture. My body aches and to add insult to injury my dreams at night are all work related. I am very grateful for […]

Behold. Our official holiday family photos for 2015. My beloved husband and mama in law helped take the photos. Jack didn’t really feel like holding still much at all, but we did our best. We also skipped the mall Santa and hit up our public library instead. 🙂
