When I first started doing portrait sessions, I didn’t cull my images very well. If the picture was in focus and the photos subject’s eyes were open, it was a keeper. Which meant that in a 45-60 minute session, I would come away with 250+ clicks and end up giving the subject(s) several dozen images. […]
Do you ever just wake up with a random burst of creative energy and design a photo session totally randomly and somehow manage to get your four-year-old to cooperate entirely? Because that’s what I did this morning. Look for the rest of the photos on Facebook and Instagram.
Here is the latest addition to my summer photo series Tragic Beauty, “Maleficent” with wardrobe and makeup by the model herself.
I’m kicking of my fine art fantasy photo series, Tragic Beauty, with a self-portrait called, The Red Queen. I’ll be working on this series throughout the summer, I have some friends who have volunteered to pose as some fairytale characters for me and I’m really excited.
What’s new since my last update post? A whole lot I’m sure, but a lot is also the same which is kinda great. Jeremy turns 32 on the 13th, and he doesn’t want me to talk about it. He’s asked for no cake and no fuss. But of course, he’ll get both. Jack is rounding […]
Jack and I had fun with these Valentine’s day inspired photos. I got the tattoo idea from Pinterest, but for mine, I used a watercolor pencil (Crayola brand). Jack is a bit wiggly, and it didn’t turn out as neat as I would’ve liked, but it’s still a cute sentiment.
My winter break is nearly over, but I have some more pictures of Jack to share. He’ll be four this spring, and he wants to go to Monster Jam again, and he has asked me for a camera so that he can take pictures. I think he’ll get both.
Lately, when Jack wakes up instead of heading straight for the T.V. he will head over to his school area and start playing. He likes to pretend he’s painting classic paintings. But he also does a little coloring of his own. He also likes playing and pretending to play his daddy’s melodica. Pretending, using his […]
I imagine some of you got a fancy new camera over the holidays, and now, you want to learn how to use it. Well, I’d like to take this opportunity to provide you with a how-to blog post on the matter, because I was once you. If you are new to photography, the first thing […]
Congratulations to these two lovely ladies! I had the pleasure of photographing their engagement session recently. Here are a few of my favorite shots.
When I set out as a photographer back in 2010 I hadn’t used a camera much before. I had been spending my time in front of the camera mostly, as a model. I took photography as an elective back in high-school (2005) and I would spend class time posing for other students. My own photos […]
Exciting news! I added a permanent page to Mom Knows Jack to feature portrait photography by me. The page is still under construction, but my most recent session is already posted. But here are a few of my favorite shots. For booking inquiries please follow me on Instagram and send me a direct message. Now […]
If you follow my Instagram stories you know that Jack and I took a little vacation with my mama and sissy in law to the Sonora area here in California. We stayed in a quiet little cottage not too far from civilization, but far enough to enjoy a babbling brook, trees, wildflowers, wildlife, sweet summer […]
